Get paid to become dangerous on the phone:
throxy books sales meetings for B2B companies, from Fortune 500s to the fastest-growing startups. The phone is how we do it. Everyone else chased email and LinkedIn until both were saturated; the buyers we want are still live on the phone, and almost nobody calls them. Our SDRs do, at a volume no other floor can offer.
This is a full-time, in-office role on our sales floor in Cape Town or Johannesburg. You will spend most of your day on the dialler, working lists our data engine has already qualified and scored, with call insights from the last campaign fed back into the next one. Cold calling experience helps but is not required. We will teach you the craft. What we cannot teach is the appetite for it.
Book meetings that hold. Every conversation exists to get a qualified buyer to say yes to a meeting with our client, and to keep saying yes when it is in the calendar.
What you're working with:
You dial through Maestro, our in-house dialler, on lead lists our data engine has already qualified and scored. Call outcomes are classified automatically and fed back into who you call next. Less admin, more conversations. You sit with the team in person, in Cape Town or Johannesburg, and learn from the people beside you.
Your day, most days:
Run high-volume outbound calls to decision-makers at our clients' target accounts. Openers, qualification, objection handling, close for the meeting.
Qualify the prospect, book the meeting, and hand it over so cleanly that it holds. Accepted meetings are the number you own.
Log outcomes and objections accurately. Your call notes train the intelligence layer that decides who gets called next.
Test openers and talk tracks with the team, review your own calls, and bring what works back to the floor.
Strong signals:
You have done outbound before: SDR, BDR, telesales, fundraising, recruitment, anything where you dialled strangers for a living. Not required, but it shows.
Sport, debating, sales leaderboards. You like a scoreboard and you like being at the top of it.
You want to understand what the companies you call actually do, because that is what makes the pitch land.
You see SDR as a first step, not a final one, and you want to be measured on results.
What we're looking for:
Our hiring process:
Fill in the short application form. Tell us where you are based, why throxy, and how soon you can start.
A short call. We ask about you, and we listen to how you sound on the phone.
A mock cold call with the team. We are looking for coachability, not polish.
Start date agreed and onboarding on the floor in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Start date: as soon as possible.
