Own email as a product line:
In May 2026 we started building Envelope, our internal email platform. It manages the full lifecycle of cold email at scale: campaign launch, sender fleet and deliverability management, AI-powered reply classification, meeting booking and follow-up, and per-client channel economics.
Fifteen weeks in, it runs 40+ active clients, has booked 244 sales meetings for them, and operates at a six-figure annual revenue run-rate, tracked down to the meeting. It has outgrown a single owner-builder. You will be the first dedicated product hire for the channel, working directly with the founding team and engineering.
Lead Email end-to-end: roadmap, clients, and revenue. You set the direction and defend it with results.
Envelope today:
40+ active clients running on the platform. 244 sales meetings booked to date. 200+ concurrent campaigns sending over a million emails a month. AI reads and classifies every reply, and the platform reports its own weekly metrics. Built and operated AI-first.
These are not roadmap items. They are your job:
Own the Envelope product roadmap end to end: prioritise, spec, and ship improvements with engineering.
Own the results the platform delivers - meetings booked, reply quality, deliverability health - across every client account.
Own revenue and cost for the email channel: pricing inputs, infrastructure spend, and unit economics per client.
Run a continuous testing programme across copy, personalisation, and sending strategy - and automate the remaining manual steps in the campaign lifecycle.
Strong signals:
You've been responsible for a revenue line, a channel, or a product's unit economics - not just its feature list.
Time at a startup or small team (< 20 people) where you wore many hats.
You've run cold email or outbound campaigns yourself and know what deliverability trouble smells like.
You've built something end-to-end on your own: a side project, a channel, a past business.
